Recruitment

The Department of Radiology is currently recruiting for three (3) faculty in partnership with Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute, the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, and other institutes and departments at The University of Calgary. We seek:

• A Brain Imaging Scientist. Individuals with expertise and interest in structural and functional brain imaging are encouraged to apply.
• A Pediatric Brain Imaging Scientist. Individuals with expertise and interest in functional MR imaging, brain spectroscopy, and/or imaging of childhood development are encouraged to apply.
• A Medical Image Processing/Bioinformatics Scientist. Individuals with expertise and interest in brain or oncologic imaging are encouraged to apply.

Dr Garnette Sutherland has been appointed to the Order of Canada. His citation reads "Garnette Sutherland, C.M., Calgary, Alberta, Member of the Order of Canada. For advancing the field of neurosurgery, notably through the use of intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology." Dr Sutherland was the inaugral director of the Seaman Family Centre (1998-2005). (January 2012)
